No Mercy In Nelson, Nevada: The Vogue



So this is a classic case of everything going wrong when you're trying something new.

Me and my friend Jordan headed out to Nelson, Nevada to try and get some test shots for a project and it was literally a lesson of everything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

Right off the bat we start out later than we wanted too, because we wanted to go to Mt. Charleston.... but with the day going late and only one place we knew of to get fake blood, we gave up on that and went instead to Nelson, Nevada, which is like creep town on the way to Lake Mojave.

We tried to go to these awesome caves, but right when we started to shoot, two creepy old guys started excavating in a tunnel, probably preparing for some Lovecraftian ritual. I was unprepared to offer my friend up for sacrifice for their tourist starved town's blood thirsty god, so we bailed for a creepy shack we had seen.... mind you shes driving her fricking Ford Focus in these horrible roads.... and we find ourselves in SNAKE LAND, USA.

I didn't personally see any of course, but the threat felt imminent. So we set up there, immediately I'm dying in the heat, I got fake blood in her eye, and in her mouth by accident (tastes sweet evidently), and all over. I had never used this camera before, and I got the ISO wrong and was just shooting crap. But we managed to salvage some of what we came from, if only to show us where we went wrong; basically EVERYTHING. However, here I have made a mini series of the shots that I liked... None of any that actually were the reason we went there... -_-
